The Guilty Thing that pleasure me???

When I was assigned to write about the guilty thing that pleasure me, a lot of things came across my mind. And for sure, most of them are really bad things which I don't really have the guts to write it in this blog. LOL! To be frank, I am not that brave to tell about my “fantasy” to public even though there are not many people who want to read my blog but still, it is embarrassing to let the world know about my dark secret. But a task is still a task so I have to complete this entry with a secret. Well at least I got one!

Yes I do smoke! I USED to be a smoker but now I already quit. Until today, I still wonder why I chose to smoke because there are no advantages on smokers at all.

Please don’t ask me when I started to smoke because I will never tell it to you since my siblings may read this post  and they will tell about it to my parents and they might pissed off! Haha. I know my parents will get mad if they know that I used to be a smoker but somehow the feeling is the guiltiest thing that pleasures me. Even though I know there are a lot of disadvantages of smoking but I kept on smoking as it can “let the steam off”. I don’t know about you guys but in my opinion, smoking can help me to “reduce” the stressed. But as time goes by, I started to learn that cigarette is nothing but a harmful thing that can shorten my time in this world. Besides, I can’t save my money on cigs so I decided to quit smoking. And now I am enjoying my life without a pack of cigarettes. Hope this will last forever. I wish!

The Review

The blind side is a true story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick with the help of a caring woman and her family. Michael Oher, a troubled youth who never knew his father and whose mother struggled with drug addiction, manages to escape a tragic life on the streets through American football. The story starts when Michael Oher, played by Quinton Aaron is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy, played by Sandra Bullock. Learning that the young man is one of her daughter's classmates, Leigh Anne insists that Michael who wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the dead of winter at that time come out of the cold. Without a moment's hesitation, she invites him to stay at the Tuohy home for the night. What starts out as a sign of kindness turns into something more as Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family despite the differences in race, culture and status within the society even as Leigh Anne's rich friends wonder what she is doing. One even suggests that her teenage daughter Collins is not safe around him, much to Leigh Anne's disgust.
Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. And as the family helps Michael fulfill his potential, both on and off the football field, Michael's presence in the Tuohys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own.
I love watching this movie simply because of the honesty in this story of Michael Oher. Movies about racial prejudice are something I really like to watch as I can see it from a lot of different perspectives. But I want to make it clear that I do not like racist. In fact, I really hate them! As we are living in this era of globalization, I find racist as disgusting and ridiculous. Back to the movie, The Blind Side, the script from director John Lee Hancock, based on the book by Michael Lewis, is fairly straightforward. You know where it's going to go and how the story is going to play out, but not to a fault. The Blind Side is a rare feel-good picture where you actually feel good for most of it, either thanks to the charm of Bullock or the film's surprisingly funny scenes with the super-confident SJ and the quiet giant Big Mike.

Love is the voice under all silences.

"Love is the voice under all silences, the hope which has no opposite in fear; the strength so strong mere force is feebleness: the truth more first than sun, more last than star."

- E. E. Cummings

What is love? Khalil Gibran, the third best-selling poet of all time, behind Shakespeare and Lao-Tzu once quoted that life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruits. According to Hamka, love is not to teach us weak, but generate power. As for me, love is a pure feeling, an emotion that we have towards something. If we love something, we will become passionate about it. Love is also a projection of the essence of God to the universe.

Familial love
Familial love is natural affection such as the love towards our family and also friends. For this kind of love, we doesn’t have to express our love towards them by keep saying “I love you” to them frequently. All we need to do is just to appreciate their presence in our life. What I’m trying to say by appreciating them is that we ought to do things that can make them happy and proud to have us in their life too. For example, we can make our family feel happy for us by performing well in our exam, graduates, get a high-paid job, buy presents for them and bring them for vacation to special places. These kinds of things will surely make them feel blessed to have you in their life.

Romance
Romance is the pleasurable feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love. In the perspective of romantic love relationships, romance usually involves an expression of one's love, or one's deep emotional desires to connect with another person. The love between husband and wife, a boy with his girlfriend are some of the examples of romance. This kind of love needs us to be more intimate in terms of expressing our feelings or attention towards our beloved one. Apparently, this feeling comes when we have met the perfect person to spend the rest of our life with. Even though this kind of relationship will face ups and downs but in the end, it does not matter at all because the love between two people will conquer all.

The Greatest Love
This kind of love is the purest love of all the love that ever existed in this world. In Islam, we believe that Allah has 99 names and one of them is Al Wadud which means “the loving one”. It clearly shows that love towards god should be the greatest love because God loves us very much. If God is not the loving one, there will be no Earth. Therefore, we could never exist at all!

For me, love is the most powerful force in the world. Love can conquer all. Only love can stop the war. And without love, definitely I won’t survive.
